Social Commitment

The Caribbean Grain Company is more than a business; it is a committed player in Haiti’s development. We are proud to contribute to improving the living conditions of our fellow citizens, whether by supporting social initiatives, developing sports programs for youth, or providing emergency aid during natural disasters. Our commitment is guided by the values of solidarity, responsibility, and sustainable development.
– We supplied more than 100 tons of food to the victims of Tropical Storm Jeanne in 2008.
– For 5 years, we have supported the interscholastic basketball championship, allowing hundreds of young people to practice this sport.

Football

Passionate about sports and social commitment, we actively support the development of Haitian youth. For several years, we have sponsored various sporting events, from soccer to basketball, and even chess. Notably, we have contributed to the growth of soccer by supporting the Haitian Football Federation and sponsoring local clubs.
More than 5,000 young people have benefited from our sports programs.
We are always on the lookout for new initiatives to promote sports and culture in Haiti.

Volley Ball

Grant awarded to the Haitian Volleyball Federation for its tour in the North in 2009.

Corporate Basketball

In 2011, Mega became a sponsor of corporate basketball, and in 2012 formed a team that was ranked Runner-Up in the Corporate Basketball Tournament organized by ASHBAC in 2013. This sponsorship has grown stronger over the years, and the basketball team continues to provide opportunities for young talents in this sport.

Interscholastic Basketball

Convinced that sports is a school of life, Mega has supported the CIBA, the Interschool Basketball Championship, since 2011, because we believe that through practicing sports, our young students can acquire essential values for their development.

Motorcycle race

Sponsorship of motorcycle races in 2007 and 2008. Sponsorship of motorcyclists Philippe (Doudou) Turnier and Stephan Faublas, both class champions in 2007 and 2008.

Even cerebral sports – sponsorship of the Domino Championship in 2009 and of the Chess Tournament organized by the Fédération Haïtienne des Jeux d’Echecs since 2012 – are taken into account in order to guarantee spaces for healthy entertainment conducive to intellectual development.

We also provide in-kind support to a number of local orphanages and to a local association for the visually impaired on a monthly basis.

Sponsorship of Circus of Dreams, 2012, 2013, in the Parc de la Canne à Sucre, which for the occasion became a space for games, laughter and, above all, enchantment for children, young and old, who marveled at the various tricks presented by the circus.
